Beautiful set of four Mart Stam-inspired dining chairs. Made in Italy, these sleek modern tubular chrome and hide leather armchairs have a modern yet classic style. This set of four is in wonderful vintage condition. The upholstered black hide leather is supple and supportive with complete integrity to stitching.
Mart Stam introduced the Cantilever armchair in 1926 unaware that 3 years prior, an eerily similar tubular chair was drawn. Although similar to his colleagues, Mart Stam was awarded the authorship of the Cantilever chair design by the German Court.

Condition: Overall good vintage condition. All original leather and floor slides. Chairs are extremely sturdy. Leather may require light cleaning but is in fantastic condition as are seams. Signs of oxidation and pitting throughout chrome (shown in photos - happy to send additional photos as well).
